Christmas Shoe Box for the Homeless

If you would like to make a difference in the lives of the needy and less fortunate this Advent, join this Shoe Box initiative.  

You may participate in one of two ways: 

1. Donate a shoe box filled with items

2. Donate a shoe box and deliver your gift to the homeless during the Mission Walk. 

Please complete and submit this form by November 15th

Instructions for the Shoe Box Drive: 

• Reuse a shoe box or purchase a box (shoe box sized) from your local dollar store. 
• Wrap it in Christmas wrapping.
• Please include a $10 Tim Hortons gift card & hand written letter

(Sample Text: Dear Friend in Christ, I offer you this gift in honor of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, I want you to know that you matter. I wish you all the blessings and that you keep safe and healthy this season. Your Friend in Christ.  You can also include a prayer card).  

• Suggested Items for the shoebox but not limited to the following (items are for adults):
• Toothbrush
• Toothpaste
• Soap
• Shampoo
• Conditioner
• Chocolates
• Gloves
• Prayer card

Suggested budget for the items is $20

*Please don’t include mouthwash or any product with alcohol content.

Please attach a list of items included in the box and label if the items are geared for a man or a woman. 

The delivery day (Mission Walk) will take place on November 27th. 

Preliminary Schedule to be confirmed via email November 23rd 

Gather Outside St Mary's Parish 2:00 - 2:15 pm

Mission Talk 2:15 -2:35 pm 

Final Blessing and prayer 2:35 - 2:45 pm

Mission walk 3:00 - 4:30 pm 

Mass 5:00 pm
